Greenidge Generation Holdings has changed its name to Vulcan Infrastructure and Power Inc. as it pivots from bitcoin mining toward AI data centers and electric grid operations, according to the company.
The company secured about $39.4 million from investors and changed its Nasdaq ticker from GREE to VIP on July 24.
Vulcan controls 104 megawatts of energized capacity and reports a 654-megawatt development pipeline across company-owned sites.
The financing includes $29.4 million from a stock sale and $10 million in secured convertible notes, with most proceeds expected to redeem roughly $33 million in senior notes due this year.
The transition comes as New York pauses permits for data centers using at least 50 megawatts, though state regulators have not said whether Vulcan’s application is affected.
