Ontario County sheriff's deputies charged a 19-year-old Rochester man with public lewdness July 29 after investigators said he engaged in sexual activity inside a vehicle in the Eastview Mall parking lot while visible to the public.
James William Dougherty was arrested at about 3:32 p.m. at the mall, located at 7979 Route 96 in the Town of Victor, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said their investigation determined Dougherty was inside his vehicle when the alleged conduct occurred.
Dougherty was taken into custody and issued an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to answer the charge in Victor Town Court at a later date.
