Two Ontario County men were arrested Thursday after a traffic stop near the Manchester Thruway exit, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said Zachary R. Maher, 33, of Geneva, was stopped at State Route 21 and the New York State Thruway for allegedly driving with a suspended license.
During the investigation, deputies arrested Maher and Christopher R. McManus Sr., 50, of Clifton Springs, on charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. The sheriff's office alleges the men possessed crack cocaine.
Maher also received tickets charging him with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and operating without a license, according to the release.
Both men were taken to the Ontario County Jail and held for an appearance in centralized arraignment court Friday. The charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
