More than 600 cyclists from 37 states and Canada are traveling across New York during the 28th annual Cycle the Erie Canal Bike Tour, according to WHAM.
The 400-mile ride includes stops in canal communities, local businesses and historic landmarks across the state.
Riders passed through Rochester on Monday during the third day of the weeklong trip.
Participants said the tour has offered strong support, new friendships and a chance to explore trails beyond their home regions.
The cyclists are expected to finish the journey in Albany on Sunday.
