Doctors across New York will soon have a new resource for answering patients’ cannabis questions, according to the Times Union.
The state has launched the nation’s first Center of Excellence for Cannabis Care and Health Equity at Albany Medical Center. The program will train clinicians with evidence-based guidance as marijuana use grows in both medical treatment and everyday life.
Officials say the pilot program will expand through medical schools and public health programs while supporting research on safety, dosing and patient care as cannabis laws continue to evolve.
