Lake Country Players will bring Disney's Finding Nemo JR. to Watkins Glen High School in July, with 61 young performers from Schuyler and three surrounding counties taking part in the youth production.
Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. July 16, 17 and 18, with a final matinee at 2 p.m. July 19 at the Watkins Glen High School Auditorium.
Based on the Disney and Pixar animated film, the musical follows Marlin, an overprotective clownfish, and Nemo, his adventurous son. The production features songs, colorful characters and themes of family, friendship and courage.
The show is directed by Casey Smith, with music direction by Kim Laursen.
Several principal roles will be double cast. Nemo will be played by Shiloh Bechtold and Lilyana Smith, Dory by Aryanna Waldron and Nadia Maphis, and Marlin by Emma Munroe and Margaret DeRusha.
Tickets will be sold at the door, with the box office opening 45 minutes before each show. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $10 for students. Cash and checks will be accepted.
