The village of Waterloo is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on a new Fire Commission.
Village officials said they are seeking three volunteers to help support local fire services and shape the future of fire protection in the community.
Applications, in the form of a resume, will be accepted through July 10.
The commission terms will be three years, though the first three commissioners will serve staggered terms of one, two or three years to establish a schedule in which one commissioner is appointed each year.
Meeting days and times will be set by the commissioners after they are appointed, according to the village.
Officials said the commission is intended for residents interested in fire safety, community service and local governance.
