Sheriff: Auburn man charged with assault after kicking woman

A domestic violence investigation in Cayuga County resulted in a misdemeanor assault charge against an Auburn resident.

Braedon M. Cramer, 18, was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and charged with attempted third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, following an investigation into a reported incident that occurred in May.

Deputies received a walk-in complaint on May 14 regarding a domestic violence incident. Investigators determined that Cramer allegedly kicked a woman, causing her to fall into a dresser, according to the sheriff’s office.

Cramer later turned himself in to authorities and was arraigned in CAP Court. He was released on his own recognizance pending further proceedings.

All suspects accused of a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
