A tie at the top of the leaderboard wasn’t enough to keep the Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce from crowning a winner at its annual Chamber Cup Golf Tournament.
Bowers Accountants & Advisors of Syracuse captured the 2026 Chamber Cup title following a tiebreaker at Big Oak Golf Course in Geneva. The team of Scott Gerken, Steve Kelley, Ryan Kretchmer and Ryan Noone finished tied with two-time defending champion Dominguez Marketing before final scoring by course staff awarded the victory to Bowers.
The scramble-format tournament, held May 20, attracted 29 teams and businesses from across the Finger Lakes region. Chamber officials said participation reached a new high, with 34 businesses and organizations signing up for on-course advertising opportunities and 24 setting up activity stations featuring games, giveaways and branded displays throughout the course.

According to the Chamber, vendor participation increased 26% compared to last year’s event, reflecting growing regional interest in the annual networking and fundraising tournament. Chamber President Miranda Odell credited sponsors, supporters and annual partners for helping make the event possible.
Promotional sponsors for this year’s tournament included Beginnings Credit Union and Cayuga Nation Enterprises, while additional support came from Geneva Club Beverage, Wegmans of Geneva and Mark’s Pizzeria. The event was coordinated by Odell and event chair Sabrina Buckley, with assistance from the Chamber’s ambassador committee.
The Chamber Cup serves as one of the organization’s primary annual fundraisers, generating revenue to support programs, member services and new initiatives throughout the Finger Lakes region.
