Deputies arrested a Naples man Friday evening after investigating a reported harassment incident involving a teenager in the town of Italy, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Jack W. Minteer, 63, of Naples, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment following an investigation into an incident involving a 15-year-old. Authorities said deputies responded to a residence on Italy Valley Road at approximately 7:11 p.m.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies gathered evidence at the scene and determined that Minteer was involved in an unprovoked physical altercation with the minor.
Minteer was taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Jail, where he was being held pending arraignment through the county’s centralized arraignment process.
