A burglary investigation in Honeoye resulted in the arrest of a local teenager accused of unlawfully entering an apartment and stealing a camera.
Karl T. Smith, 19, of Honeoye, was charged with second-degree burglary and petit larceny following an investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the arrest stemmed from a reported burglary at an apartment on Main Street on June 1. Investigators determined Smith allegedly entered Apartment 4 at 8746 Main St. and remained unlawfully inside before stealing a camera valued at $40.
Smith was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he was held pending CAP Court. He is scheduled to appear in Richmond Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
