According to the Bellona Volunteer Fire Company, firefighters were dispatched around 3:45 p.m. alongside Benton firefighters and Penn Yan Ambulance for a reported house fire in the district.
A second alarm was immediately requested after reports from the scene confirmed an active working fire, according to fire officials.
Bellona firefighters said crews made an aggressive interior attack that resulted in a quick knockdown of the fire before it could spread further through the structure.
