Lyme Disease on the increase in Yates, Ontario Counties

There’s been an increase in Lyme Disease cases in Yates and Ontario Counties this summer. Cases have been the highest in the Bellona, Branchport, Dundee, and Rock Stream areas this summer.

Chelsea says awareness and prevention are the keys. Check yourself carefully for the tiny deer ticks whose bite can cause Lyme disease. 

Learn how to make yourself a less inviting target for ticks and how to make the area around your home less tick-friendly. Watch for the rash that can signal Lyme disease.
