Colman Craft was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after recording four caused turnovers in the Hobart College men’s lacrosse team’s 13-12 win over St. Bonaventure University on Saturday, as Hobart closed its season at 3-10 overall and 1-5 in conference play. Craft’s performance not only helped secure the victory but also set a new program record.
The first-year defenseman delivered a game-high four caused turnovers, splitting two in each half while anchoring a defensive effort that held off a late push. With the performance, Craft finished the season with 28 caused turnovers, breaking Hobart’s single-season record by three. His impact has been immediate, as he already ranks among the program’s top career leaders in the category despite playing just 11 games.
Craft’s ability to disrupt opposing offenses has placed him among the nation’s best, as he ranks third nationally in caused turnovers per game at 2.55. His consistency throughout the season earned him his second conference Rookie of the Week honor.
Hobart leaned on its defense in the narrow victory, with Craft playing a central role in preserving the one-goal margin. The win over St. Bonaventure served as a highlight to close the campaign.
Hobart concludes its 2026 season following the win, with Craft’s record-setting performance standing as one of the program’s top individual achievements.
