A staple early-summer tradition in Cayuga County is set to return as the Weedsport Fireman’s Field Days kick off May 28-30 with a full lineup of family-friendly events, entertainment and food.
The three-day event will feature amusement rides, live music, parades and community activities, all centered around the Weedsport Fire Department grounds.
Festivities begin Thursday, May 28, with rides opening at 6 p.m. alongside a kiddie parade and live music from DJ Piper. Lunch will be served starting at noon.
Friday’s schedule includes another full day of rides beginning at 6 p.m., highlighted by the annual grand parade at 7 p.m. Live music from Mike Farrar and the Houserockers will follow from 8 p.m. through midnight.
Saturday features the most packed schedule, with rides opening at 1 p.m. and a variety of events throughout the day. Highlights include a chicken barbecue starting at noon, a horseshoe tournament at 1 p.m., and live music performances, including DJ Piper during the day and Southbound Train in the evening.
Additional activities include a cornhole tournament, cake booth and continuous food offerings throughout the weekend.
Advance tickets will be available locally in Weedsport ahead of the event.
