A longtime educator will soon take the helm of a local school district after a board decision this week, according to WSYR.
Moravia Central School District approved Christopher Leahey as its next superintendent, with a July 1 start date. He currently serves as deputy superintendent in North Syracuse and brings decades of experience as a teacher and school leader.
District officials say the hiring followed a multi-step search process that included community input. Leahey says he plans to build on the district’s foundation while working closely with staff, families, and students.
