Tompkins County officials and Cornell researchers have launched a discussion series to explore the possibility of a countywide minimum wage, according to WENY News. The effort is part of a broader research initiative to study potential impacts before any policy decisions are made.
Organizers say the series will gather input from businesses, workers, and community members through a series of public meetings.
Officials emphasize the process is in its early stages, with a focus on understanding economic effects and avoiding unintended consequences.
