A traffic stop for speeding early Wednesday morning in Palmyra led to a driving while intoxicated arrest.
Police identified the driver as Jaeda M. Wright.
A Palmyra police officer stopped the vehicle around 2:08 a.m. after observing it traveling at a high rate of speed in a posted 30 mph zone.
During the investigation, the officer determined Wright was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Police said Wright submitted to a chemical breath test that measured a blood alcohol content of 0.16%, twice the legal limit in New York.
Wright was charged with speeding, having an open alcoholic container in a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content above .08%, and driving while intoxicated.
She was processed by the Palmyra Police Department and is scheduled to appear in Village of Palmyra Court at a later date.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office assisted during the incident.
