Skaneateles inducts 43 into NHS

Skaneateles High School inducted 43 juniors from the Class of 2026 into the National Honor Society during a recent ceremony.

The National Honor Society recognizes students for scholarship, leadership, service and character.

Principal Michael Caraccio told inductees that NHS membership reflects more than grades.

“NHS was created to recognize students for not only academic achievement, but also character, leadership, service and citizenship,” Caraccio said. “From its origins, NHS was never intended to be an award to receive and then place on a shelf. It’s a society you belong to, a commitment you live and a standard you uphold.”

The following students were inducted:

Henry Badami, Makayla Barron, Jordan Beaudet, Phoebe Bedard, Amelia Blados, Luke Bobbett, Tritan Boucher-Wattson, Nolan Bradley, Sophia Brown, Ty Calabro, Charlotte Carroll, Hugh Carroll, Libby Carroll, Megan Charlton, Jake DeWolf, Kathryn Falkenberg, Addison Gerst, Margaret Girzadas, Catherine Gunderson, Taylor Harvey, Calder Johnson, Genevieve Johnson, Mia Johnson, Bryce Krauter, Leah Logue, Carter Longyear, Drew Mancini, Madeline Mayer, Logan Meaker, Robert Moro, William Murphy, Ana Nichols, Quinn Reilly, Lindsey Roche, Peter Salzhauer, Jackson Tank, Leah Tidd, Madelyn Vance, Tabitha Whitney, Ava Williamson, Evangeline Wise and Addison Zieler.

School officials said the students demonstrated strong academic performance along with leadership and service in the school and community.
