The show is based on “The Princess and the Pea” and follows Queen Aggravain, who refuses to allow anyone in the kingdom to marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, finds a suitable bride. Princess Winnifred arrives at the castle, prompting the queen to devise an unusual test involving 20 mattresses and a single pea.

Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. March 12, 13 and 14, with a 2 p.m. matinee March 15.

Liesl Dorr portrays Queen Aggravain, with Brian Cannan as Prince Dauntless. Maeve Jankowski plays Princess Winnifred, and Robert Lally appears as King Sextimus the Silent.

The cast also includes Allison DeRuyter as the Minstrel, Ellie Dorr as Lady Larken, Blake Jensen as the Wizard, Gavin Ruggles as the Jester and Justin Herman as Sir Harry, along with an ensemble of students.

Marie Fischer directs the production, with Mikayla Wilkes and Lindsay Douglass serving as assistant directors. Stefan Uveges choreographs, and Adam Chandler and Will Hope lead vocal and music direction.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $8 for students and seniors. Day-of-show tickets cost $2 more and will be available at the door.
