State environmental officials will outline a cleanup plan for a contaminated Williamson property this week, according to the Finger Lakes Times. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation scheduled a 5 p.m. Feb. 26 meeting at the Williamson Public Library to discuss the former dry-cleaning site at 3901 Route 104.
Investigators found tetrachloroethylene in the air and soil at the vacant, less-than-one-acre parcel. The state has classified it as a Superfund site and drafted a proposed remediation plan.
Officials will take public comments during the meeting and continue accepting them through March 14. Residents can weigh in before the DEC finalizes how it will clean up the property.
