Autry stands firm amid losses

A 37-point blowout at Duke hasn’t shaken Adrian Autry’s belief in leading Syracuse, according to CNY Central. The Orange head coach called the job a dream come true, even as the team battles late-season struggles.

Syracuse sits at 15-13 overall and 6-9 in the ACC after losses to No. 3 Duke and No. 16 North Carolina. The defeat in Durham marked the worst of Autry’s tenure and the program’s most lopsided ACC loss.

Some fans questioned Autry’s tone when he reflected on the role, but former guard Eric Devendorf said the coach simply faces heavy pressure and uncertainty. Syracuse has three regular-season games left and currently sits in position to qualify for the ACC Tournament, which begins March 10.
