Canandaigua woman charged with obstruction, resisting arrest after disturbance

A reported disturbance on Phoenix Street ended with multiple charges Friday afternoon.

Ashley D. Ward, 38, of Canandaigua, faces charges of harassment in the second degree, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, and resisting arrest.

Officers responded to a Phoenix Street address around 4:43 p.m. on Feb. 13. During the investigation, officers determined Ward struck another person in the face.

Police say Ward then resisted their efforts to place her under arrest. Officers later transported her to the Ontario County Jail.
