Lawmakers want to advance the “New York For All Act,” which would limit cooperation between state agencies and federal immigration authorities. The renewed push comes as advocates demand stronger protections for immigrant communities.

Murad Awawdeh, president of the New York Immigration Coalition, discussed the effort on Capital Tonight, urging Albany to move further on reforms as budget negotiations continue.
