Helming spotlights growth of Wayne County’s Jrlon

Sen. Pam Helming toured a family-owned manufacturer in Wayne County this week, praising its growth and local impact.

Helming visited Jrlon, Inc. at its headquarters in Palmyra, where she met with owners and Chief Operating Officers Brandon Redmond and Chad Redmond to talk about expansion plans and workforce development.

Jrlon produces specialized plastic and metal components used in aerospace, transportation, medical devices, energy, and other advanced technologies.

The company started in the 1950s and has grown through generations of family leadership. Today, it employs nearly 200 people.

In addition to its Palmyra headquarters, Jrlon operates facilities in Spencerport and Summerville, South Carolina.

Helming said the visit underscored the importance of supporting manufacturers that continue to invest in Upstate New York.

“Family-owned manufacturers like Jrlon are the backbone of our regional economy. They create good-paying careers, drive innovation, and prove that world-class products can be made right here at home. Jrlon represents the very best of New York manufacturing and shows why it is so important to keep opportunity and investment in our state. I remain committed to advancing policies that help manufacturers grow, compete, and succeed for generations to come,” Helming said.

Helming’s office said the tour focused on the company’s continued expansion and its efforts to build and retain a skilled workforce in the region.
