Police arrested an Ithaca man after officers found a stabbing victim inside an East Green Street apartment complex early Sunday.
Duane Magee, 58, of Ithaca, faces felony charges following the incident, according to the Ithaca Police Department.
Officers responded around 1:37 a.m. to the 100 block of East Green Street for a report of a stabbing that had just occurred. When they arrived, they found a victim who had been stabbed with a knife.
Police said the suspect and victim knew each other and described the case as an isolated incident.
Emergency crews transported the victim to a regional trauma center. Police said the victim remains in stable condition.
Officers later located Magee at the Seneca Street Parking Garage and took him into custody.
Prosecutors charged Magee with Assault in the First Degree and Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, both Class B felonies.
A judge arraigned Magee in Ithaca City Court and remanded him to the Tompkins County Jail.
