CANANDAIGUA — UR Medicine Thompson Health will host a pair of information sessions later this month for community members interested in becoming certified nursing assistants.
The sessions will take place at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, 350 Parrish St., ahead of a CNA training program scheduled to begin in March. Hospital officials said the program is aimed at compassionate individuals seeking to enter the healthcare field.
Two sessions are scheduled: Thursday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m., and Thursday, Feb. 26, at 10 a.m. Prospective participants may attend either session.
RSVPs are required. Those interested are asked to call 585-396-6824 or email [email protected] to reserve a spot.
Certified nursing assistants provide direct care to patients in long-term care and other healthcare settings, assisting with daily activities and supporting nursing staff.
