Syracuse women’s basketball rolled to an 84-51 road victory over Pittsburgh on Thursday night at the Petersen Events Center, securing its 20th win of the season and extending its win streak over the Panthers to 28 consecutive games.

The Orange (20-5, 10-4) used a decisive second quarter to take control, outscoring Pittsburgh 22-4 in the period to build a 43-24 halftime lead. Syracuse maintained that momentum throughout the second half, leading by 30 entering the fourth quarter and closing comfortably.
Four Syracuse players scored in double figures. Sophie Burrows and Uche Izoje each led the team with 18 points, while Madeline Potts added a career-high 14 points off the bench, knocking down four three-pointers. Dominique Darius finished with 11 points and a game-high nine assists as Syracuse recorded 22 total assists on the night.
Potts sparked the fourth quarter with back-to-back three-pointers to extend the margin, and the Orange continued to add to the lead behind strong bench production and efficient perimeter shooting. Syracuse finished with nine steals and five blocks while limiting Pittsburgh to just four points in the second quarter, matching a season-low scoring period allowed by the Orange.
The win marked Syracuse’s third 20-win season under head coach Felisha Legette-Jack and its second time reaching double-digit conference victories during her tenure.
Syracuse returns home to face Clemson on Sunday, February 15, at 2 p.m. at the JMA Wireless Dome.
