A late-night traffic stop in Waterloo ended with a woman facing multiple felony drug charges, police said.
Amanda R. Mahaffey, 39, of Seneca Falls, was arrested around 11:45 p.m. Feb. 9 following the stop, according to the Waterloo Police Department.
Police said officers allegedly found Mahaffey in possession of significant quantities of illegal drugs during the investigation. Investigators reported seizing about 34.7 grams of methamphetamine, 1.3 grams of crack cocaine, and a quantity of suspected fentanyl.
Police also said Mahaffey possessed paraphernalia commonly used to package and distribute narcotics.
As a result, Mahaffey was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell, both B felonies. She was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a C felony, and in the fifth degree, a D felony.
Additional charges include criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, both misdemeanors.
Police transported Mahaffey to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where she was held for arraignment.
