Movie night returns to Interlaken

A free community movie night is coming back to Interlaken later this month.

The Interlaken Community Action Group will host its next “Movie Nite” on Saturday, February 28, featuring the 2025 film “Superman.” The screening begins at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

The event will take place at the Masonic Lodge above Hubbard’s Heating and Plumbing on Main Street. Organizers say admission is free, though donations are welcome.

Popcorn and beverages will be available for $1. Giovanni’s Pizzeria is located across the street for anyone who wants to turn the evening into a pizza-and-movie night.

Interlaken launched the movie series in January with a showing of “Back to the Future,” which drew laughs from longtime fans and first-time viewers alike. George’s Pro Sound donated the surround sound system, and Mayor Rich Richardson handled the technical setup.

The film series is part of the Interlaken Community Action Group’s broader effort to bring neighbors together. ICAG also supports projects such as Water Tower Park, the Greater Interlaken Good Neighbor Program, and community events including Olde Home Day, a Halloween party, and a Christmas dinner.

Organizers say Movie Nite is held on the fourth Saturday of each month at 6 p.m. All are welcome, and residents are encouraged to suggest future movie ideas.

Anyone interested in getting involved with ICAG can attend meetings on the first Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at Village Hall, 8369 North Main Street, or email [email protected].
