AUBURN: City Council holds first meeting of February (webcast)

Auburn City Council met Feb. 5 for its regular business session at Memorial City Hall, where members issued a Black History Month proclamation and opened a public hearing on the city’s 2026-2027 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan. Council also considered a land sale resolution authorizing the sale of a paper street for development, approved a tax assessment settlement with Walmart over property on Grant Avenue, and made appointments to the Auburn Industrial Development Authority. Additional agenda items included routine approvals of prior meeting minutes, reports from the city manager and council members, and other resolutions and business before adjournment.
