Marion man arrested after Palmyra domestic, faces contempt, harassment, and mischief charges

A domestic disturbance in the Town of Palmyra led to multiple felony and misdemeanor charges against a Wayne County man.

Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Town of Marion man Monday afternoon following an investigation into a domestic incident reported earlier in the day.

Deputies arrested Scott Davis, 38, after determining he struck the victim during a dispute, causing bruising to the right side of the victim’s neck. Investigators said Davis also struck a vehicle’s passenger-side window, shattering it, and then took the victim’s cellphone, preventing contact with emergency services.

Authorities said an active refrain-from order of protection was in place at the time of the incident.

As a result of the investigation, deputies charged Davis with criminal contempt in the first degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and harassment in the second degree.

Deputies transported Davis to the Wayne County Jail, where he will await CAP Court. The case was investigated by Deputy L. Osipovitch.
