Police arrested a Penn Yan man Saturday night following an investigation in Seneca Falls. Officers took the suspect into custody around 8:12 p.m. without incident.
Seneca Falls police arrested William W. Habecker, 28, of Penn Yan, in connection with multiple alleged financial crimes. Police said the arrest stemmed from an investigation handled by the department.
Habecker was charged with grand larceny in the third degree, a D felony, falsifying business records in the first degree, an E felony, scheme to defraud in the first degree, an E felony, and criminal impersonation in the second degree, an A misdemeanor.
Police processed Habecker at the department and released him on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to return to the Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date.
