A one-car crash on Route 104 in the Town of Sodus led to a driving while intoxicated arrest following an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the crash Friday afternoon and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Deputies later arrested David Plantz, 64, of Rochester. Investigators said the charges stem from their investigation into the crash, which involved a single vehicle.
Plantz was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal of a chemical test, and additional traffic violations. Deputies took him into custody without incident.
After his arrest, deputies transported Plantz to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was later taken to the Wayne County Jail, where he was held for arraignment.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to handle the investigation.
