A months-long narcotics investigation ended with a no-knock search warrant and a major drug seizure at a Geneva home Tuesday afternoon.
Police arrested Aaron Godwin-Smith, a Geneva resident, after investigators executed the warrant around 3 p.m. at a home on John Street. The City of Geneva Police Department said detectives worked with New York State Police and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office to investigate illegal narcotics sales from Rochester to Geneva.
During the search, officers found about 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, materials used to package and distribute drugs, two loaded handguns, and about $3,000, police said.
Godwin-Smith faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, a Class A felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a Class C felony. Police processed him at the Geneva Police Department and transported him to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.

Investigators said they expect additional arrests and that further charges remain pending.
Police also credited community members who submitted drug tips related to the residence and encouraged residents to continue reporting suspected illegal activity. Tips can be sent to the Geneva Police Department by phone or through its online tips system, and all information can remain anonymous.
