Ithaca’s Maru Ramen drops noodles, goes fully Korean

The ramen is gone, and so is the name, according to 14850.com. After nearly eight years on Ithaca’s west end, Maru Ramen has rebranded as Maru Korea, shifting its focus entirely to Korean cuisine.

The revamped restaurant opened January 19 and now serves Korean comfort dishes like bulgogi, tofu stews, stir-fries, rice bowls, and fried chicken bites. Ramen and sushi are no longer on the menu.

The same owners opened The Milkstand nearby in 2021, continuing their presence in Ithaca’s dining scene with a new direction.
