Top-ranked Hobart hockey rolled to a 7-0 SUNYAC victory over Plattsburgh Cardinals on Friday night at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena, continuing a dominant stretch for the Statesmen.
Senior forward Tanner Daniels led the way with a goal and two assists, finishing with a game-high three points. The performance marked a milestone for Daniels, who became the 13th player in program history to reach 100 career points. Sophomores Easton Ryan and Arvega Hovsepyan each scored twice, while senior Dominic Schimizzi and sophomore Tamas Toth also found the back of the net.

Hobart seized control early, building a 3-0 lead by the end of the first period and never allowing Plattsburgh to recover. The Statesmen added two goals in each of the final two periods, outshooting the Cardinals 53-22 for the game and 21-5 in the second period alone. Hobart finished 1-for-5 on the power play, while Plattsburgh was held without a power-play goal.
Senior goaltender Damon Beaver anchored the shutout with 22 saves, earning his sixth clean sheet of the season and the 23rd of his career, which ranks second all-time in NCAA Division III history. Plattsburgh goaltender Brady Spry made 31 saves over the first two periods before Beau Lane stopped 15 shots in relief.
With the win, Hobart improved to 17-0-0 overall and 10-0-0 in SUNYAC play, extending its winning streak to 23 games and its unbeaten run to 30. Plattsburgh fell to 8-9-0 overall and 4-6-0 in conference action.
Hobart returns to the ice Saturday, traveling to Saratoga Springs, New York, to face the Skidmore Thoroughbreds at 4 p.m.
