Cookie and smoothie shops headed to Vestal

A former Pier One space on Vestal Parkway is about to get a dessert-heavy makeover, according to WIVT. Developers plan to split the vacant storefront into three units, landing two well-known chains in the process.

One space will go to Crumbl, the fast-growing cookie brand with more than 1,000 locations nationwide. The company stays closed on Sundays and avoids coffee entirely because of its owners’ religious beliefs.

Another storefront will house Tropical Smoothie Cafe, which serves smoothies, fruit bowls, wraps, and flatbread sandwiches. The plaza already includes Starbucks, GameStop, and Jersey Mike’s.

There’s no word yet on opening dates or what business will fill the third space.
