Local playwrights have a short window to get their work on stage this spring, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
The Geneva Theatre Guild is accepting original short plays for its 28th annual Playwrights’ Play Readings. Scripts must run 30 minutes or less and will be accepted through Feb. 7, or until 150 submissions arrive.
Winning plays will receive live staged readings at venues around Geneva from April 17–19, followed by audience talk-back sessions. The Guild will review scripts blindly and notify selected playwrights in mid-March.
Only unpublished, human-written works qualify, and each author may submit one play.
