Woman charged with drug possession in Middlesex

Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Waterloo woman following a late-night investigation in the Town of Middlesex.

Yates County deputies identified the suspect as Jennifer Dineen, 50, of Waterloo. Deputies responded around 9:20 p.m. on Dec. 29 to a report of possible drug possession at a residence on State Route 245.

Deputies said they made contact with Dineen during the investigation. She was found to be in possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and admitted to having it, according to the sheriff’s office.

Dineen was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Deputies issued her an appearance ticket, and she is scheduled to answer the charge in Town of Middlesex Court at a later date.

Yates County Sheriff’s deputies, including a K-9 unit, assisted at the scene.
