Antiques club plans February show and tell

Antique lovers will get a chance to share their favorite finds during a community show and tell in Geneva.

The Antiques Club of the Finger Lakes will host an Antiques “Show & Tell” on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Geneva History Museum, 543 S. Main St.

What to expect

The event invites both club members and the public to bring one antique or vintage item to share. Participants will be asked to explain what they know about their object, while others in attendance can offer comments and insights.

Organizers stressed the program will not include formal appraisals or a panel of experts. However, many club members are longtime collectors and will share their knowledge during the discussion.

The Antiques Club said the event aims to be educational, interactive, and enjoyable for anyone interested in history or collecting.

Open to the public

The program is presented in cooperation with Historic Geneva and is free and open to the public.

Meetings of the Antiques Club of the Finger Lakes are always free to attend. Annual membership is available for $15, with dues helping cover room rentals and speaker honoraria. Club activities include museum meetings, field trips, and social events.
