A trespass complaint at Marion Speedway led to an early-morning arrest in the Town of Marion.
Wayne County sheriff’s deputies arrested Ryan J. Lawliss, 39, of Pembroke Drive, after investigating a report that someone had entered the speedway despite being previously banned from the property.
Deputies said the incident happened around 2:24 a.m. on Jan. 2. Investigators determined Lawliss had allegedly entered Marion Speedway following a prior incident that resulted in a ban.
Deputies later located Lawliss at his residence and transported him to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was charged with third-degree criminal trespass.
Lawliss was released on an appearance ticket and is expected to appear in Marion Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
