Penn Yan man jailed after domestic incident

Police arrested a Penn Yan man following a reported domestic disturbance that left another person unable to leave during an argument.

Penn Yan Police arrested Robert H. Wood II, 40, of Penn Yan on charges of second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree harassment.


According to police, officers responded to a report of a domestic incident in which Wood allegedly subjected another person to unwanted physical contact. Police say he grabbed the victim by the back of the neck and prevented them from leaving during a verbal altercation.

Wood was taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Jail, where he is being held pending CAP Court.
