Marion man jailed after burglary investigation in Ontario County

Deputies arrested a man after an investigation into a burglary at a home in the Town of Manchester.

Edward J. Jock, 57, of Marion, was taken into custody for burglary in the second degree following an investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said Jock knowingly entered and remained unlawfully inside a dwelling on Short Road with the intent to commit a crime.

Authorities tied the incident to a residence located at 2886 Short Road in the Town of Manchester, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies arrested Jock at the Ontario County Jail in Hopewell.

Due to two prior felony convictions, the court remanded him to the Ontario County Jail without bail following a CAP Court appearance, officials said.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office said Investigator Brooks-Lambert handled the case.
