Families are invited to kick off the Christmas season with an afternoon of music, crafts, and cocoa at the Auburn YMCA.
The YMCA will host its Holly Jolly Holiday community event from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at its facility at 27 William St. in Auburn .
The free event is open to the public and features visits and photos with Santa Claus. Attendees can also enjoy Christmas music performed by Perform 4 Purpose.
Organizers have planned a range of family-friendly activities, including a Scholastic Book Fair, craft vendors, and Santa’s Workshop, where children can make their own ornaments. A hot cocoa bar will be available throughout the event.
The YMCA says the goal is to provide a festive, welcoming holiday experience for the entire community at no cost.
