Auburn to crack down on $600K in unpaid parking tickets

Starting Jan. 1, Auburn will begin booting and towing vehicles tied to unpaid parking tickets in an effort to collect $600,000 in outstanding fines, according to The Citizen.

City Manager Jenny Haines announced the relaunch of the Outstanding Ticket Enforcement Program, which targets vehicles parked on city streets with unpaid violations. A public list of violators will be posted at auburnny.gov/otep.

The city has also tightened its parking policy: fewer warnings, higher garage rates, and stricter enforcement to help close budget gaps.
