Hakes C&D Disposal is seeking approval to expand its landfill by 43.3 acres in Campbell, NY, triggering state review and public comment, according to the Corning Leader.
The project includes new stormwater ponds, a larger gas treatment system, and a realigned Manning Ridge Road. It also proposes changes to landfill liner standards and emissions controls. A draft air permit and environmental impact statement are now open for public review.
Virtual hearings will be held Nov. 13, with written comments accepted by the DEC until Nov. 24.
