Five inmates arrested for smoking marijuana at Ontario County Jail

Five inmates at the Ontario County Jail were arrested this week after investigators say they were caught smoking marijuana inside the facility.

The arrests stem from an incident on October 19, when jail staff discovered that the group had lit and smoked marijuana joints while confined. Following an investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division, all five were charged with promoting prison contraband in the second degree.
