Geneva City Council will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, November 5, with a packed agenda that includes a public hearing on the proposed sale of city-owned property and a grant application to support local business development.
The meeting begins with a 6 p.m. executive session at City Hall (47 Castle Street), followed by the public portion starting at 7 p.m. Residents can listen live on the City of Geneva’s YouTube channel.
Public hearings, budget votes, and downtown development
Among the key items on the agenda:
- Public hearing on the sale of 595 S. Exchange Street, a city-owned parcel
- Public hearing on a CDBG Economic Development Grant application for Liquid Orchard Inc.
- Second readings and votes on ordinances tied to sanitary sewer regulations and fence requirements
- A resolution to support the sale of the S. Exchange Street property
- A resolution in support of the Liquid Orchard grant
City staff will also give a grant overview presentation, and councilors are set to discuss e-bike regulations and East Washington Street parking concerns.
Celebrating service and recognizing leadership
Proclamations are planned for Fred Brockway and Extra Mile Day, celebrating community commitment and volunteerism.
The meeting will also include updates on board and commission appointments, elected officials’ workday schedules, and the City Manager’s contract.
