Wegmans and 72 other New York companies made Forbes’ first-ever list of best U.S. employers for company culture, according to USA TODAY Network. The ranking, based on surveys from over 218,000 workers, evaluated factors like fairness, inclusivity, recognition, and advancement.
Wegmans placed No. 75 overall. Other New York companies in the top 100 include Columbia University (No. 11), JetBlue Airways (No. 29), and Penguin Random House (No. 33). In total, 13 New York-based employers ranked in the top 100, with 73 statewide making the full 600-company list.
Upstate firms like Constellation Brands, Paychex, Corning, and the University at Buffalo also appeared, reflecting strong workplace culture across various sectors. Forbes emphasized that top employers foster loyalty through purpose-driven, inclusive environments.
